Dia Art Foundation is now on Bloomberg Connects

Dia joins more than 150 cultural institutions around the globe on the Bloomberg Connects app to offer visitors a free guide

Dia Art Foundation is excited to announce a new, digital guide available on Bloomberg Connects, the free arts and cultural app. The Bloomberg Connects app, available for download from Google Play or the App Store, allows visitors to access Dia’s collections and exhibitions onsite and offsite through photo, audio and video features. The guide features all eleven sites and locations, offering insights into Dia's constellation of sites across the US and Germany.

The first half of Dia’s guide is organized by sections dedicated to Dia’s three physical gallery locations (Dia Beacon, Dia Chelsea, and Dia Bridgehampton), concluding with a section about Dia’s eight sites. The sections on Dia Beacon, Dia Chelsea, and Dia Bridgehampton contains information about their history, the artists and works on view, upcoming exhibitions, as well as details for helping plan your visit.

Due to its size and the number of artists on view, information on Dia Beacon is organized into several different sections. With visitors in mind, “While Visiting Dia Beacon,” was designed to provide additional guidance while navigating over 300,000 square feet of exhibition space. This section shows important locations and seating areas within the museum and then features these on a map to show visitors where to find them. Similarly, “Highlights” pulls a few of Dia Beacon’s most popular artists into their own section, providing quick access to artist and exhibition information and to their location featured on the map.

Additionally, this mobile guide takes visitors behind the scenes at Dia with an interactive map, videos, and more. The last half of the guide is where this additional content can be found. Under the section titled Watch & Listen, all available video content is featured in the Art, Artists and Performance videos tab.

Visitors can use the app to access helpful insights throughout their visit or dive deeper into their favorite works at home.  Also included are interactive maps that allow you to explore Dia’s sites, with varied content and insights about our locations in the Western United States.

The Bloomberg Connects app is available for download from Google Play or the App Store, or by scanning the QR code here.
