How might we re-consider the infrastructural principles that govern the uses of pedagogy and site? What of these conventions that have come to define the utility of pedagogy and site continue to generate more potential for our ongoing discourses on artistic research, collaboration and practice? What of these inherited conventions have disavowed our potential to integrate an awareness and lexicon for otherwise, dispossessed, and fugitive genealogies of praxis?
Over the past nine months, the fellows and facilitators of this container have engaged in a dynamic investigation: visiting various sites, meeting with artists and collaboratives, sharing material in-process, and trialing group praxes of artistic research within an institution. By exploring the entanglements of creative method, medium, and the artistic object, obliquely, we have sought to encounter these fundamental pillars anew, all the while inviting the disorientation such a request demands.
The culminating event on June 7, 2025 marks a punctuation in our study—an opportunity to open our container to the public and transpose our emergent findings into other medial forms. The exhibited and performative works that stem from these research processes are not an arrival, but a pitstop on the protracted journey to engaging this critical nexus of provocations for our time and for our cohort.

Field Notes from the Fellows
Ahead of the culminating event on June 7 at Dia Chelsea, each of the fellows share process notes from their time in the program, which include provisional mappings, poetic fragments, visual fieldnotes, and digital captures. These notes are neither exhaustive nor conclusive, but instead gesture toward the evolving nature of research-in-process—offering glimpses into how form follows inquiry and how site becomes both a material and a method.
